well, that makes things easier for Friday's list. Turns out I already have 5 (arguably six) songs that fit the description you gave.... Of course, my definition of distorted is no doubt different from yours in this case, so...

Well, to kind of explain what kind of tracks I mean, this one accentuates that point damn near perfectly: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ku--QDG-50. Also, if that somehow doesn't help, think the track I posted last year from a game called Ecco (it shouldn't be that hard to ctrl+f it, at least)

What can I say? I have standards. I'm not exactly going to post terribad music for the sake of pissing people off. (Well, other than a couple of ones I'm keeping tucked away in my future songs just in case ;P)

Also, seeing how you posted before I was gonna post this, I have to say I'm somewhat impressed by that. I wouldn't be lying if I said that you've given me some ideas for some more tracks for the playlist, so, uh, yeah. Thanks I guess ^^

I apologise for being so late about everything. After all my messages saying what I planned to do for this week, it's a bit unfortunate that I was so inconveniently busy pretty much every time the site COULD have been up. Also, putting in nominations for other people's video game music ranking topics got in the way of completing this week's playlist, and it's already 5:30, so it'd take an act of god to find the time today to work on those writeups (though it's still not out of the impossible).

ps. Yesssss Red Alert 3 theme. Absolutely loved that track since I first heard it mid last year.

now as for the bit of the post that I had to cut out...

"aaand that my friends is the end of part one. expect the remaining thirty tracks as well as all 9 tracks of friday's list, as well as some potential updates on the previous week's list some time tomorrow hopefully (provided the site's up and running)"

Believe it.

welp, unexpectedly ran out of bandwidth before starting on the writeups (considering all I did was watch 5 youtube vids, as opposed to over 30 yesterday, as well as effectively load the equivalent of three full one piece episodes (I had to keep reloading because it was failing) yesterday, it really WAS unexpected).

Expect them tomorrow maybe :P

Just getting this week's playlist sussed out (and I'd definitely like some suggestions for things to add; I'm going war themes (y'know, those kinds of tracks that play before a major battle to get you pumped... they might have war drums/gongs or trumpets and stuff?), so it looks like I won't be finishing off part two for a short while... I could well get it done this evening, but even then, getting those other ones (for last week, as well as the bonus ones for the 27th of january playlist) might be a bit of a struggle, but hopefully not out of the impossible.

Part 2
Gran Turismo 4 - Moon Over The Castle Long Remix by Synthetic
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IFZDBuPBYsM
--- Dubstep before dubstep. And pretty much the only potentially good kind :P
A little bit long, but the all-round solidness of the track makes up for that.

Pokémon Firered & Leafgreen Music Super Complete - Bonus CD2 - Strength of a Gym Leader
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eb2PnPgtmjY
--- Fuck yes a legitimately great official pokemon remix. Sure, it still doesn't compete with some fan remixes, but for a strictly conservative remix trying to keep the source material recognisable while still making it something more, I think it does an excellent job of it.

Lufia II - Battle Against Sinistrals
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hT8FhGDS5qE
--- Enter our second long series of 8/16-bit tracks. This one in particular is from a very underrated game in Lufia 2, notable for having a top-notch (for its time) soundtrack in general.

Mega Man 2 - Dr. Wily Stage 1 / 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HFKtYCcMWT4
--- Well, what's an 8/16-bit homage section without the most renowned track of them all (have you seen that view counter?!), Mega Man 2's legendary Dr Wily track. There's a reason this is one of the most remixed tracks on OC ReMix, after all.

Duck Tales - The Moon
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G_80PQ543rM
--- Going from what is debatably the most renowned 8-bit track in existence, to what is debatably the most renowned 8-bit track in existence. Wait... Also, I don't believe it's a mere coincidence that they're by Capcom.

Dark Void Zero - 03 Scientific Complex
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DPzaA9mhAc
--- Now I know that as a DSi game, this is a bit of a joke game, and was even marketed as such. But with great tracks like this, it's clear that a lot of work went into this exceptional faux NES game by (you guessed it) Capcom.

Mega Man 3 - Dr. Wily Part 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTqp7jUBoA8
--- VEry nice track overall, and while it really can't compete with the likes of Mega Man 2's Wily theme, this is still very good in its own right (heck, on board 8, this track is MORE loved than the MM2 one :O)

Cave Story 3D - Last Battle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Np8CYBL1DCs
--- Supposedly the original 8-bit soundtrack to this was done by somebody with zero background in music. Frankly this surprises me, seeing how damn good this 16(or maybe 32; I'm really not sure of the power the 3ds audio has)-bitified version is.

Soul Calibur Legends - Like a Glint of Light
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEpWQXzM2aI
--- And there goes my neat little "Capcom Corner" of sorts. Fairly average interpretation of one of the Tales series most renowned tracks, Lloyd Irving (what can I say, Tales > Soul Calibur in terms of music quality; it's a known fact)!

Skies of Arcadia - Final Battle Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w8DCQev6ll4
--- And finally this playlist is actually taking a step back to its initial badass/epic premise. Skies of Arcadia is an excellent game with excellent music absolutely brutalised by an abysmal echo effect. Still, could be worse.

Suikoden V OST - The Final Conclusion ~ Last Battle Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn03LSl9HxY
--- And now for another bad echo one. This one is at least notable for being able to cope with that echo at least and actually use it to maintain tension more, however. Very nice, although it suffers greatly from not having a steadfast direction.

The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker Soundtrack - Ganondorf
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oZSohVAnvEQ
--- And this is what happens when a track DOES have a direction but fails to keep that sense of tension for half of the track. Those loud trumpet sections are notable, but aside from that, there really isn't much there aside from great amounts of low, dreary and repetitive monotony.

Guild Wars 2 - Main theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gay1Cn2o4i8
--- Very epic, and pretty much dwarfs any other recent epic themes like this (yes, even Dragonborn).

The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword - Demon King Demise Battle Theme (Phase 2)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vW9sizDd4N0
--- Okay, okay. Any recent themes people actually cared a great deal for, then. Now THIS. IS. EPIC. Buut, and it's a big but, like many other themes I've already showcased, this suffers from a lack of direction, of soul and crap in general. Still epic though.

NieR Gestalt and RepliCant - Song of the Ancients / Fate
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-1i_v71iao
--- Aaand this is what happens when you actually get a song with epicness AND direction, albeit one marred with arguably unnecessary vocals (yeah, they're pretty much a core element in all of NieR's soundtrack; it doesn't make them that great). Very nice, mysterious song nonetheless, and that is one of the definite pluses of the vocals, necessity or not.

Mass Effect 2 - Suicide Mission
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VTsD2FjmLsw
--- gotta love this theme. From being the cause of a shock round 1 upset against what is arguably the greatest recent Sonic theme period to being all-round awesome in general (It really reminds me of Doctor Who's soundtrack in recent years, and THAT is an extremely big thing in its favour), there really isn't anything NOT to like about this god-tier epic and motivational theme.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Dragonborn
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dDEYpgpfp1c
--- Speaking earlier of Dragonborn... I really like this because it reminds me of Pirates of the Carribean, another cause of the general improvement in the quality of music in recent years. On a completely unrelated note, HOLY CRAP, over 1 mil views on another upload.

Super Mario Galaxy - Final Bowser Battle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lIuvjG3Egjo
--- Pretty much the first major game to incorporate an outright epic final boss theme with a loud, chanting choir with equally epic violin this generation, a trend that is only increasing exponentially year over year (trust FREAKING MARIO to be the cause of such a thing, of course).

Ace Combat Zero: The Belkan War - Zero
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DBlGyUctjkc
--- Greatest Battle Music Of All Times indeed. Spanishness + Loud as fuck Orchestra and Choir = EPIC WIN

Part 3
Persona 3 - The Battle for Everyone's Souls
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rdMhTL5bZrs
--- Overrated theme? Yes (1.3 million views LIKE A BOSS). Great theme regardless? HELL. YESSSS. Everything about this track is insanely brilliant; it's honestly hard to believe that such a quality track could even come out of a now-aging relic of the past that is the PS2. In fact, I suppose even though I have never personally played this game (I really want to though), I might as well extend that sentiment to the game itself. Easy top 10 main-stayer for PS2 titles on GameFAQs really goes a long way.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja 5 - Sasuke Uchiha
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBEKH5EIZlg
--- Didn't even bother checking during the naruto update because I presumed I had already posted this. I mean really, what's a vgm list topic without my current personal favourite theme for the last several months. The instrumentation is excellent, the solos are excellent, the timing is all-round above excellent; everything is excellent about this track. Best Naruto piece, best track on any RPG on the PS2 at the very least, and lord knows what else.

Xenoblade - Unfinished Battle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B0DE5zyRI6U
--- Very much in the heart of the Last Ranker soundtrack (I wonder why; it couldn't possibly be done by the same composer :P), only 10 times better than any single track from Last Ranker. It has very much earned the position of my #2 favourite track period right now.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness - Battle With Dialga
--- Very iconic track ironicly less well-known than a remix of itself of all things (seriously, look up this track name and you'll find a remix by some dude on youtube with over 1 mil views!). In this track, the instruments really set it apart from the rest here, with instruments that frankly remind me of Slicing the Wind in ClaDun (see THIS playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA267CB405DFEBA0E).

Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story - Final Boss Battle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Df-mjdvdeuI
--- Surprisingly well-known track given the relative anonymity of these spinoff RPGs. Also reminds me of the Crystal Monsters boss battle theme that I think I'll just add right now :P

Crystal Monsters - Important Battle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y69yk8WORNc
--- For a bad port of a bad iOS game that is clearly a bad Pokemon ripoff with bad music and bad quality in general, this track is a very real anomaly. I suspect that this, unlike the not-so many other tracks in this soundtrack, this took a lot of inspiration from tracks like the last one and, well...

Pokémon Emerald Music - Battle! Frontier Brain
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyoUVJ95CRg
--- Shock horror! A pokemon battle theme with an actual direction! That really never happens. Still chaotic as ever though...

Monty on the Run Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpsN14TFy90
--- Goddamn this is awesome. In hindsight, I really should have put this one in the western-themed one, but I kinda forgot about it :/

Earthbound - Porky Means Business
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t4z82byt5mA
--- Ha! Bet'cha you didn't see that one coming. Nice, relaxing, ordinary 8-bit music, and then BAM! Horrible distorted metal that is so bad it's funny.

Chrono Trigger - Tyranno Lair
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24KmyB4xWFk
--- And now for shock transitions done right. Yes, it's still very much off key, but at least it's in context for the setting, and just not at all horrible like the last one. I especially like the whole thing of going from left to right from around about 1:46. Very entrancing.

Dragon Ball Z: Attack of the Saiyans - Vs. Vegeta
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hBrD258R1wU
--- And thus continues the, er, bad guitar synth section? It sounds a lot worse than it really is that way though :( I mean, really. This is pretty rockin'

Mario & Luigi: Partners In Time Music - Final Boss
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DWzLMC9KiM
--- Now this one is arguably a little underrated in my opinion. In spite of having nearly quadruple the views of the final boss music of the third game, it's usually the third game's soundtrack that gets acknowledged a lot more often by far compared to the first two ones. If anything, it's this one that should be acknowledged for at least being original (unlike that Kingdom Hearts knockoff music in Bowser's Inside Story). Of course, that's just my opinion, and I've never even listened to the soundtracks of these games, or even watched any gameplay videos :O

Phoenix Wright T&T ~ Cornered 2001 (2004 Remix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XuDMNNF4PT0
--- Such a goddamn classing. THIS is why the Ace Attorney soundtrack is so revered (well, this among other tracks, as well as a rich story with entertaining dialogue, but whatever).

BONUSES BITCHEZ
God Eater - No Way Back -Out of My Way-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-qxLjNMUvJk
--- I like the techno voice in htis. Reminds me of a lot of things on ocr

Sonic the hedgehog 2006 - Solaris Phase 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vRe3h1iQ1Os
---HOLY CRAP 1.6 MILLION VIEWS THAT IS MORE VIEWS THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS PLAYLIST WHAT THE HELL THAT'S JUST UNCALLED FOR >,<

StreetPass Quest- Armored Fiend
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pk7Rbmie5BE
--- Whoo Wind Waker instruments. So terrible :P

StreetPass Quest II- Armored Archfiend
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UqyWAhRzFHU
--- Whoo that beat is taken straight from BAttlerock Galaxy in Super Mario Galaxy. Also gotta love those bells.

Last Ranker - Born to Survive
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vYDooWXw-o
--- Kinda reminds me of a number of series of games I really need to include music from sooner or later... I'll probably get onto those ones in a few weeks. Also, weird point here. Why do people in Japan making a game only to be sold IN Japan put in a song sung in English? Seems kinda confusing to me :?

^Just noticed: LOL 69 VIDS http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL6BA26E7CD12F318C

Also, just to be safe about character limits and whatnot, the additional bonus tracks to my january 27 playlist are going in a new comment; this one to be specific.

Note: I did have more, but if I included, I'd be breaching my new rule, so I guess they'll be put in a playlist for next week maybe; I DO have quite a few.

Animal Crossing - 9PM
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eESew5J_WoA
--- Very relaxing. Sounds like it'd fit in perfectly to something on one of the wii channels.

Dragon Quest VIII - Over the Sorrow (Symphonic Version)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OlQjZ7qFLSE
--- How Square Enix can afford its own orchestra for damn near every game it does is a mystery to me. Doesn't make this any less classy and relaxing in general.

Mario Kart 7 - Rainbow Road (Moon)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WdyHSp6nRc8
--- Somehow, every time I listen to this, I think of nyan cat. ugh... How can I ruin such a good song :(

Sonic Mega Collection Music - Opening Demo
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4mkqTFFb-4
---
Nostalgia-worthy. Completely agree with the top comment here btw. How CAN a compilation game have music this great? It confounds me.

Wii Menu Music - Weather Channel - Globe (Location)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zI_fUpbeQGU
--- As per all the other tracks posted, this is also very relaxing, but also rather uplifting as well.

Terraria OST - Day
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h0gq1tyI1o
--- Moar uplifting musicz.

[NEW (as of 29 February)]
Ar Tonelico II: Melody of Metafalica - The Second Tower
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Z-kXYZFg7c
--- I love the variety of instruments in this, esp. the wind instruments.

Mario Kart Wii - Thwomp Desert
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vjx9BM_GO2o
--- Yay scottish/irishness.

Last post's Playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLA267CB405DFEBA0E

Last week's Playlist: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLB171CA85C13C286E
Writeups tomorrow. I'm tired. And lazy.

Mario Kart 7 - Rosalina's Ice World
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4tRY0ZxT8zE
--- This one starts off barely listen-able, only to get even more painfully bad throughout. 4/10

Ecco 2: Tides of Time (Genesis) - Aqua Tubeway
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d3hWECo9d7o
--- Gives me a distinctly 80's feel. Also reminds me a bit of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon (which I considered adding to the playlist at some stage, but I changed my mind since I was lazy. I might still add a track from it as a bonus feature possibly.) 7/10

Terraria Music - Corruption
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrgNfn26uBQ
--- It's weird listening to this seeing how I've been ignoring the Terraria updates since around 1.06, meaning I've never even seen gameplay vids of this in-game. 6.5/10

Kirby 64 - Zero-Two
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BwpLSiplyYc
--- Probably the most renowned Kirby track around, and the first non-Brawl Kirby I think I'm posting. Kinda surprising how popular this boss is; people hardly even mention 64 as their top Kirby game, so really I know it's strange, but I actually think this boss has more of a cult following than this game :O.

Guilty Gear X2 - "Holy Orders?"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJqEGxlNHSQ
--- ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. And this is why the Korean Guilty Gear soundtrack >>>>>> Jap/Worldwide Guilty Gear soundtrack (for context, THIS is the Korean version of this theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xr-182Rg9r8). All kinds of awesome all-round whereas this... 3.5/10

Shadow Hearts - Decisive Battle ~ Imbroglio
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7DvpaKKLJjw
--- Distorted feel (well, no shit), vague gunshot sounds, fast pace, and a strangely jubilant feel ... Why does this remind me of the next two tracks? (No really, go check them out.) 7.5/10

Pokémon Black and White - Vs Cynthia (Had to use this one to ensure I don't break my one track per game rule)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCd4pccHCfU
--- Probably my second-least favourite champion theme, but I like it. It really captures the essence of the D/P/Pt soundtracks. 8/10

Pokémon Platinum - Distortion World
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vN5A2xZBMUc
--- Gotta love that high-pitched squealing sound. Reminds me of dying cats ^-^ 7/10

EarthBound - Giygas Battle
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YYb9kSCkjE8
--- "Ness... Ness, it hurts..." Less music and more a homing beacon for aliens. I swear that abrupt transition back to the distorted-ness after that neat little bit starting around 2:30 is going to give me nightmares for weeks. O_O/10 (I really can't rank this nightmare fuel...)

G-Darius - Kimera II
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Ku--QDG-50
--- Because it wouldn't be right to not use this theme. Remember that whole 80s feel I mentioned about that Ecco theme? Yeah, that on a much larger scale, and with weird indescribable sound effects that really complement the track somehow. 8.5/10

Pokémon Firered & Leafgreen Music Super Complete - Pokémon Tower 1997
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ebelIcaru8c
--- Strictly speaking, this was first featured in the initial Red/Green soundtrack, buuut since I have another track from that as the next in the list (surprise, surprise), I'm not going to change this. Anyway, this is some pretty major creepypasta for those who haven't been listening to the last few tracks. For those who HAVE been listening to the last few tracks - OH GOD THE DRUMS >.< 5.5/10

Pokémon Red, Green and Blue - Pokémon Techno
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hf5kkJMOVCE
--- Off key instrument(s) (seriously, the heck is that supposed to be anyway) for the win. Also is that supposed to be the voice of Mew around 2:52? It creeps me out whatever it is. 6.5/10

Animal Crossing - Halloween
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6izlJq_AMnA
--- Bad and terrible for the sake of being bad and terrible. I LOVE IT! 5/10

Radical Dreamers - Sneaking Around
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLY2l-ID60A
--- Just be glad I didn't find a link of the extended, 6 minute long version of this -__- Now I would give this a bad rating, but I must say that this does an excellent job at doing what it was meant to: creep the fuck out of people like me. 7/10

Breath of Fire: Dragon Quarter - Electric Power Building
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BksX_ISV5q0
--- Starting off as a not-particularly-interesting war track, this builds up into something else, finishing with a very pleasant electric keyboard (if it isn't that, hell if I know what to describe it as) section strangely reminiscent of another track I'm keeping in my future songs playlist.

Xenoblade Chronicles - Field of the Machinae
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh3D4Mfj3Ng
--- Very similar track I feel in terms of what it's trying to portray, albeit in a different way.

Final Fantasy X - Someday the Dream Will End
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sZD6GDOsNYE
--- And here's another. Because if I don't say anything else, I'll start feeling guilty of not taking these writeups seriously enough, I might as well add that it reminds me of three unrelated tracks I haven't added to this playlist yet, but I probably will have by the time I start the next writeup.

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness - Determination
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xONfdsFxIh0
--- And here's the first of those aforementioned tracks :P Very, very inspirational track that could well have gone in my theoretical war themed playlist if I had thought of it at the time.

Chrono Trigger DS - Chrono Trigger
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ryklOzw2Fc
--- The second one; thi third one is later. Also pretty much the premise for the previous track no doubt considering how much PMD as a whole has been influenced by Chrono Trigger.

Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 - The Final Valley
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTy8xwP0u_A
--- Pretty much a remix of all the previous Final Valley themes, only much better than any of them. My only complaint with this is the little homage to the music box section from UN5 was too short.

Armored Core: for Answer - Someone is Always Moving on the Surface
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J6xTT9DSNd0
--- Very complex piano track I was trying to remember when working on the Jan 27 playlist (I would've put it after Life). Somehow only abruptly thought of it for this playlist instead, along with a lot of other tracks I've been trying to remember for some time now.

Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 3 - Phantom of Blue
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Si7H89z0J7w
--- Actually have some video footage of me playing this track on my b'day while trying to find something loud enough to counteract some other song somebody else put on at full volume. Good times. Kinda. Oh, did I mention this track is f***ing awesome?

Umineko - Dreamenddischarger
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDPJuAxZaOo
--- Trust Umineko to have a damn long, but damn awesome techno track every successive release without fail. It's cult following is pretty weird though :? I can still remember when this best vgm ost contest was on and the most recent (untranslated) game ost was in the bracket. People who liked umineko refused to listen to any of the tracks due to "music spoilers" XFD

Burnout 3 - Ozone
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mbm9DDlgBo0
--- Serious nostalgia here. Also, when I was listening through this track, I realised that this track (or at least the shorter ingame version) was the cause for me knowing and recognising the full Corneria theme from Star Fox without having ever listened to it before :O (I'd send a link to it, but I know I've already posted it, and I'm lazy)

Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver - Ending
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Buhi0aOLTBQ
--- Moar nostalgia. Listened to the 8-bit version of this song on the GB Player every Sunday as an incentive to keep playing. It actually worked for a good year and a half or so until I recently lost the game card!

Sora - Rendezvous
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVWpFCFdVTc
--- Best track from that surprisingly outstanding soundtrack that won pretty much out of nowhere in the Just For Fun brackets of the best vgm ost contest. I'd honestly have a tough time picking between it and Phantom of Blue for best song in the playlist so far.

Aquaria - Undiscovered Waters (Open Waters III)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MP7nBFk1C20
--- I'm sure you don't remember, or you may not have even checked, but I mentioned for my revamp of my Dec 14 post that there were not only two, but THREE tracks in one day with virtually the same chorus. I posted the other two then, and for whatever reason, it took me several months before I remembered how to find this one (it really shouldn't have been that hard; I just checked my favourite vids and it was conveniently there).

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology - Hikari To Kage
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7rcFZUduLW4
--- AKA a longer version of the opening theme. BTW the opening theme to this game is great, and at least 100x better than the actual game :o (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4L7qoZmK7o)

Chrono Cross - Radical Dreamers ~ Jewel Which Cannot Be Stolen
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6BI0Pzolz9c
--- I have no idea why, but the start to this reminded me of Bear in the Big Blue House >.> Aside from that, pretty standard vocal track that is putting me to sleep as I write this.

Pokémon Diamond & Pearl - Ending
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C05_abrtlBM
--- I kike how this track changes moods entirely throughout. More songs should do this, this is a seriously nice way to keep the whole thing interesting for such a long time (by pokemon standards).

Sonic Mega Collection Plus - Unused Track
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D3TcNJ_xewQ
--- Starts off by reminding me of two seperate tracks, one of which I would vomit listening to ever again, the other not as much, before turning into something closer to good wii sports music than sonic.

Mimana Iyar Chronicle - Opening Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FKPeRZX5QFw
--- raeg at only the first 2 songs being posted at all on the internet (I spent HOURS checking); the other 5 (arguably 6) are way better. Also, Jihaaaaad :P

NieR Gestalt & RepliCant - Grandma
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NegDc557uo0
--- Obligatory reminder: NieR music is overrated, but absolutely godly at times. Now for some serious Jap-style mindf***. That chick in that pic is actually a guy >.>

Ar Tonelico 2 - EXEC_SPHILIA/
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4oGdjaLmLqw
--- I've never played these games or really payed them any interest, but I really should if the music sounds this damn good even without having any context for when/where it plays and whatnot.

MOTHER 3 - Love Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idULzIIF950
--- Definitely didn't need to be put into brawl, even if it was a welcome addition to it. This song is too pure for that.

Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - Ending Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cnck0F8u9Qc
--- whoo 80's music. One of these days, listening to this music will give me an incentive to try this game again (I SUCK at Tetris-style puzzle games).

Zelda: The Wind Waker - The Great Sea
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5J_bL2bjQ-k
--- One of these days, listening to THIS music will give me the much needed incentive to buy this goddamn great game that I've wanted to get for such a damn long time, only for sheer procrastination to get in the way.

Pokemon Black/White - Emotion
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zrn5TXjl_dM
--- Emotional themes? In MY Pogeymanz? Really.

PLAYLIST(Back at the bottom of a message where it belongs): http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL9632DB00DF9E079E

Bonus Tracks
Mario Kart 7 - Staff Roll
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sRLMm6cz6FE
--- Surprisingly, actually sounds infinitely better out of game. Then again, when the source was just a very short, shallow racing game known more for its game-breaking glitches than anything else, I suppose it isn't all that surprising after all.

Radiata Stories - Struggle III
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_h8JYJnHoc
--- I have never played this JRPG, in fact I've only ever even heard of it a scant few times ever before, but with music like this, that I'd honest to goodness mistake for Mario Kart music any day of the week, I can only wonder why.

Mario Kart Wii - Toad's Factory
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h5FOocaknII
--- Surprisingly, this isn't even the most funky track in the game imo :O

Samba de Amigo - Vamos a Carnaval!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Q5XT9p6mCM
--- [Note: turn music up] Basically, Sega's answer to this new niche market interested in Spanish beatmania clones apparently :/

Pokemon Ruby & Sapphire Music Super Complete -TRICK MASTER
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a21N3Of3Zyo
--- Rapist pedo remix of a rapist pedo theme made by some rapist pedos at Game Freak to cater to that Pokemon-playing rapist pedo niche.

Pokemon Ruby, Sapphire & Emerald - Game Corner
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNHhHybfel0
--- Somehow turns an ordinarily dismal experience of blatantly squandering all your Pokedollars at some mildly unrewarding slot machines (oh, and roulette tables) into something happy and fun. Yeah nah, just not buying it.

Wii Photo Channel - Slideshow (Beautiful)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m5QwrN4cckw
--- So FABULOUS! ;P

OKAY I CHANGED MY MIND ITS REALLY NOW

Initial D Arcade Stage 3 - Bunta
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rfae2r7DLDA
--- Epic, but really seems out of place in an anime-based driving game, but that's probably just me.

C&C Red Alert 3 Theme - Soviet March
need I even include the link?
--- Obligatory song is obligatory, esp since Dunc bringing this up was the inspiration for this list.

Pirates of the Caribbean: The Legend of Jack Sparrow - Main Title
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PU7XHmyApto
--- Don't ask why this is even here. I really didn't expect for there to even be a 25% chance of this playlist even being up ANYWHERE> Turns out I was wrong...

de Blob - Crescent Chroma City (Brazen)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkoJbgBU2LM
--- dies a little inside for ever even clicking the link to this vid T_______T

Last Ranker - On That Distant Old Land
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EiyD-Nq56Kc
--- Obligatory reminder that the Last Ranker soundtrack is awesome as f***, and that is why I've posted more tracks from this game than any other individual one so far.

Final Fantasy XI - Awakening ~ Final Battle Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T4KSsB6FsNo
--- Now with a Duncan Seal of Disapproval :P

Suikoden II - March of the King ~ Highland Army Theme
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbXe1aU9XO4
--- Very formidable-sounding. Kinda reminds me of the original Victory Road from Pokemon in some places.

Radiant Historia - Blue Radiance
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzQq3-9nhKA
--- 'Bout time I got a regular battle theme into this. I mean, they fit the whole war theme thing very well.

Mother 1 - Mt. Itoi
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cv7f7b4ZAbA
--- DAT BEAT. Let the headbanging commence.
dun dun dun dundan dun dun dun dundan dun dun dun dundan dun dun dun dundan So badass :P

The Last Story - Theme of THE LAST STORY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YptVopsNjaU
--- Epic. Surprisingly, the music isn't even the most standout factor of this game imo, and that is the reason why this has sunndenly risen to the top of my most-wanted games for right now (pushing down the likes of Xenoblade, Boom Street, Terraria and even the Wind Waker, which has been at the top of my list for some time now)

Rise of Nations - Galleons
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wu3e81QglXQ
--- Literally the first song that came to mind when coming up with this playlist, and with good reason. Instant classic.

Super Mario Galaxy - Battlerock Galaxy
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_p2qAE6xrBQ
--- Persia meets Space. Oh, and a neat drum beat to give it a whole war-like theme, ofc.

Pokémon Red/Green/Blue - Victory Road
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Q2et9q17eM
--- What's a war themed list without the most prominent 8-bit one BY A MILE.

Final Fantasy XIII OST: Disc 1 - The Warpath Home
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Isr6VDrCNOM
--- Easily the best war theme Square has to offer. The drums, the trumpets, the triumphal tune... Basically everything in this track functions exactly as it is meant to, and more.

Bonuses!
Pokémon Black/White - Ending -To Each Future-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zgYzRc4ZmBY
--- Really didn't expect pokemon to cut their norm fo doing super bright and happy ending themes. This... is honestly pretty rad by their standards.

Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Victory Road
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gv6kHbUwQf8
--- Brawl is pretty much the main reason that Motoi Sakaruba is a god among men. So hilariously epic.

Guilty Gear X2 - Blue Water Blue Sky
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qhpisRcYuZw
--- Not to be outdone, Guilty Gear themes being badass as always (apart from last time). The downside is that this honestly sounds creepily close to Sonic music, which is both a good thing and a bad thing.

Umineko no Naku Koro ni 2 - worldenddominator
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W-vMgaXs7Fk
--- Top-tier Umineko music being top-tier as always. Also, yessss violin lead in a techno track. The world needs more of these.

Pokémon Firered & Leafgreen Music Super Complete - Bonus CD2 - Team Rocket Hideout
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NNzh92RyhC8
--- ya go my pogeymanz creepy metal gear style.

No playlist for now since I, er... haven't actually made one yet :/

Alright, since I've been a little lax about handling all the VGM stuff lately thanks to being preoccupied making my current top 100 (or at least a nice list of 100 songs that flow well in succession), I kinda need some help here - AGAIN!

So feel free to post some tracks that fit this week's theme of bright, chiptuney tracks (they don't necessarily have to be chiptune) because I feel like it. GOGOGO!!!
